CSPA Services

HOW IT WORKS: When you sign up for your coaching sessions, you will tell us what you hope to gain.  We will tailor your sessions to your specific needs.

CSPA is dedicated to providing customized coaching, advising and teaching services in any of the following areas:

AUDITION COACHING
Big audition coming up? Whether you're looking to play the lead or just land a walk on role, we are here to help you go to your audition feeling confident and prepared.   Auditioning is a complex process, but our coaches will help you to:
  • Figure out what your strengths are and where your talents would best be suited within the production you're auditioning for.
  • Find appropriate monologues or songs for the audition, and help you make cuts when necessary.
  • Interpret your songs and/or monologues so that they are polished, honest and interesting.
  • Work on cold readings from scripts.
  • Learn what to wear, how to present yourself, and what to say in the audition room.
  • Prepare your music (when applicable) for an accompanist so that they can easily read and follow it.
  • Help you conquer nerves and recover from possible mistakes.
  • Memorize and focus.
  • Develop an understanding of the difficulty of the audition process.  If you're not chosen it doesn't mean you're not talented!
Whether you are seeking a role in a school play, auditioning for a college theatre program, attending a unified audition or auditioning at the professional level, we are here to help you shine!

HEADSHOT/RESUME/NETWORKING CONSULTATION
If you're thinking about making the move to a professional theatre marketplace, we're here to help.  All of our instructors have extensive experience working in the professional arena and can help you to select a great headshot, fine tune your resume, learn about where to look for jobs and opportunities, help you learn about agents, and illustrate the basics of union and non union contracts.

MONOLOGUE COACHING
Just looking to prepare some monologues? Not sure where to start?  If you are auditioning regularly, particularly at the professional level, it is important that you have several monologues ready to go.  Our coaches can work with you to find great monologues for your age and type, develop them and get them performance ready.

MUSICAL THEATRE COACHING
If you're a musical theatre geek (like everyone who runs CSPA!) you know it can be exciting and daunting to find your repertoire.  Musical theatre performers should have a variety of songs in a variety of styles and cuts ready to go for audition purposes.  We can help you cultivate your repertoire while teaching fundamentals of being a musical theatre performer, including vocal techniques, interpreting a song, and reading music.

REPERTOIRE SUGGESTIONS
One half hour with us and you'll come out with a handful of great repertoire to take with you into the audition world! If you attend the repertoire session and sign up for five lessons to help polish your skills, your repertoire consultation is on us!

VOICE LESSONS
No matter your age or experience level, we have knowledgeable teachers to help you become the singer you want to be.  Classical pieces, musical theatre and art song can all be explored.  If you tell us what you're looking to learn, we'll find the repertoire to make it happen.

Currently, lessons will take place in instructor homes.  We hope to move to our very own space soon!  Once you have signed up, you will be provided with location information.
